PERMISSIONS OOC • contact: PM / balsamandash • style: Equally happy with brackets or prose; I'll usually match, but feel free to switch, even mid-thread, if need me. Prefer present tense; will try to match past, but might slip. • timezone/pace: CST, but I work from home and have no sleep schedule to speak of. Little bit on the slow side, it depends on the day. • backtagging: Always, please do; feel free to poke me if you want to make sure I'm still going to respond and/or to speed it up, but I'm happy to backtag into oblivion. • threadhopping: Check unless it's built into an event somehow. • fourthwalling: No. • offensive subjects: Please warn for insects, especially in images. Prefer to avoid explicit description of trauma to faces, especially eyes; images of needles going into skin. IC • physical affection: Go for it. Jason is physically affectionate with people he likes when things are good, and will hug, prod, touch, etc, with friends often, especially if they're close. He does tend to pull back abruptly and completely when stressed or upset, and might lash out a little if pushed. • romance/flirting: Jason is gay, but he will flirt with female friends out of habit, and in order to try and hide his real feelings. He will freeze up completely if guys flirt with him in front of other people, and may say stupid things if he feels like he has to play it off. While romance is possible if the CR strikes, he's going to be hung up on his ex-boyfriend for quite some time, so it might take a while to get there. He's unlikely to talk much about his own romantic/sexual experience unless very, very comfortable with someone, as it's basically all Peter and one extremely uncomfortable night with Ivy. • fighting: If he's back into a corner, emotionally or physically, or certain buttons get pushed, he'll lash out. While he's fairly athletic and in good shape, he's really not much of a fighter, and can most likely be bested easily. • injuries or death: Down for minor injuries, but I'd like to discuss about anything that would be major or life-threatening. Please don't kill him. • triggers: Jason has some pretty severe internalized homophobia, and specifically will probably either blow up or break down if someone outs him again at this point. He has some residual issues about religion as well; while he's unlikely to lash out at people for mentioning God, Catholicism, church, etc, it might get heavy. TRIGGERS/OPT-OUT Bare is filled to the brim with triggers. Things that may come up, either in narration or in conversation, includes: • Homophobia/internalized homophobia: This is The Big One; it's not impossible to have a thread with Jason that doesn't involve any mention of this, but it might be hard to have close CR with him without it ever coming up in narration. • Religious themes, religious doubts, being gay in a strict religious setting: Jason attends Catholic school, and just before showing up in game has broken down in front of a priest that tells him it isn't acceptable to be gay. Again, this could be avoided for threads, but likely will come up with close CR, at least in narration. • Neglectful and emotionally abusive parents • Underage sexual content, teen pregnancy • Underage drinking, occasional drug use • Suicidal thoughts: This may or may not come up, it kind of depends on how things go in game, but Jason is taken less than 24 hours before his suicide in canon, so there may be occasional thoughts.
